1 Who we are

Wylie Driving School operates wyliedrivingschool.com and provides online driver education courses for teens and adults, licensed by TDLR as provider C3430, as well as in-person driving lessons and road tests in Wylie, Texas. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

2 What we collect

Information you give us

Account details: name, email address, password, phone number
Enrollment and certificate details: legal name, date of birth, sex, address, and your learner license number when we issue a driver education certificate
Payment information: billing name and address. Card numbers are entered directly into our payment processor and are never stored on our servers.
Course activity: lessons viewed, time spent, quiz answers, and completion status
Identity verification answers required by a course or regulator
Messages you send to support

Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers
Pages visited, referring page, and time spent on each page

3 How we use it

We do not exchange your personal information for money, and we do not share student course records with advertisers.

We may also disclose information when required by law, court order, or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. If our business is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the buyer, and we will tell you before a different privacy policy applies.

5 Students under 18

Many of our students are under 18, and we handle their information with extra care.

For a student under 18, a parent or guardian should make the purchase and agree to our terms on the student’s behalf.
We collect only what the course and applicable regulations require.
We never use a minor’s information for targeted advertising, and we never sell or share it.
Parents and guardians may review, correct, or request deletion of their child’s information by emailing WylieDrivingSchool@Yahoo.com.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we learn we have, we delete it promptly.

6 Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, save your course progress, and protect against fraud. Course videos are played through YouTube, which may set its own cookies when a video plays.

You can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner at any time, or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will break login and checkout.

Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie we set, what it does, and how long it lasts.

8 Security

Encryption in transit across the entire site
A PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store full card numbers.
Access controls limiting staff access to what their role requires
Regular software updates and security monitoring

No system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take these safeguards seriously and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a breach where the law requires it.

9 Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
Ask us to correct anything inaccurate
Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal retention duties
Receive your data in a machine-readable format
Opt out of marketing and of the sale or sharing of personal information
Withdraw consent where processing is based on it

Texas residents

Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act you may access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal data, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling.

Residents of other states

Our courses are for Texas drivers, but if you live in another state you may have similar rights under that state’s law. Contact us and we will help with your request.

10 Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will change. We will announce material changes by email or a prominent notice on the site at least 30 days before they take effect.
